what to do if bettas fins are clamped

Ammonia: API Kit: .25 Seachem Ammonia Kit: Costless Ammonia: 0 Total Ammonia: between .1 and .ii
Ammonia tester used (salicylate or Nessler-reagent based?): API two Bottle Kit and Seachem Ammonia Test Kit
Nitrite: 0
Nitrate: I didn't test for Nitrates
Are you testing with dipsticks?: Merely the KH was tested with a dipstick
pH: vii.4
KH: 80
Temperature: 80 degrees
Heater: yes, (25 Watt heater)
Aeration: No
Water change amount/frequency: 25-thirty% mid week and then a total change 1x a week.
Tank size/how long in operation: 2 gallon bowl - two weeks
Filtration: None
H2o additives/conditioners/pH adjusters: Prime number
What, how much and how oftentimes are the fish/frogs fed: ii ten a day five-6 Hakari pellets in the early AM and two-3 blood worms in the evening - (sometimes 2 pellets in afternoon)
Tank inhabitants (number, size and type of fish/frogs): Only 1 Betta
New additions/changes to the tank: I just did a full water change on Friday night and added a h2o heater into the bowl.
Unusual findings on the fish/frog: tightly clamped fins
Unusual behavior: He stays at the top of the water mostly, sometimes by the thermometer or heater.
Medications/what has been tried or done exercise far: I thought he might be constipated so I gave him 2 bits of a pea
Summary of potential fish/frog stressors: On Friday I sprayed both the carpeting with a dust mite spray, and afterwardsI thought the odor might be toxic then I took the fish out and put them in the bathroom for a couple of hours. The bathroom is well ventilated and has central air. I decided to clean out their bowls considering in that location was a slight detection of gratuitous ammonia that day. (Test done with the Seachem's Ammonia Kit.) I cleaned out their bowls and put a new 25 watt heater in each of the bowls. The temperature in their bowls are commonly around 78 -80 degrees, but at nighttime when the central air becomes cooler, their temps drop down to 76 degrees. So, I idea with a heater their temps would be more than consistent. I set the heater to lxxx degrees.
On Sabbatum, Lightning was NOT swimming around equally he ordinarily does. Come to call back of it, I think after I did his water change on Friday night, I don't think he swam effectually besides much either. The other fish, Thunder, was doing fine, just his usual self. Both fish ordinarily swim around their bowls and and so flare at each other. I go on both bowls in the same place about 8 inches apart from ane another. And I change both bowls at the same time and feed them at the same time.
Lightning HAD been eating every bit usual. Final night I noticed that he had a slight burl toward the back of his body near his anal fin. (I'm not sure that I always noticed it before.) I thought maybe he was constipated overfeeding, so I took out a pea heated information technology in the microwave a chip, peeled it and gave both him and Thunder 2 tiny pieces. They both gobbled them upwardly with no problem.
I tried to feed Lightning a pellet this morning, but he did not desire to eat today. I did feed Thunder his pellets this morning time and he ate them without whatever problem. I was watching Thunder who had been watching Lightning from HIS bowl, with his nose pressed against the glass, and then I put a book in between them, because I didn't desire him to encounter that Lightning was ill.
I only checked on both of them and it seems that Thunder is likewise listless. I tried to see if HE would eat a pellet and he wouldn't. So now, I am worried about the both of them. And, information technology looks like Thunder is get-go to clamp is fins too.
I just removed the book that I had in between them, only that didn't change them. I have a small lamp that I normally continue turned on in between the ii bowls, only I shut information technology off so that they might relax a bit.
Any suggestions please?
Ann
